Partners in THINC Goes West

Last month, Okuma and Partners in THINC participated in the “A Better Way to Manufacture” events sponsored by Hartwig in Houston, TX and Kayesville, UT. Both events had great turnouts and lots of positive feedback from customers.

The event in Houston featured technology and learning labs demonstrating how to put technology to work to increase productivity. The two axis vs. four axis demon and the AEC piping handling system demo were among the popular presentations. This event was supported by 20 members of Partners in THINC and attended by more than 170 customers from 97 different companies.

The event in Utah took place at the Davis Applied Technology College near Salt Lake City. Similar to the event in Houston, this event also focused on how to put technology to work to increase productivity. Each day, the event started off with a presentation by Gary Hartwig and Jay Greeves, DATC Vice President of Instruction, highlighting the importance of educational partnership. Attendees were also able to participate in learning labs about Okuma’s advanced technologies, 5-axis milling, 4-axis turning, horizontal machining centers and high pressure coolant. This event was attended by more than 204 customers from 85 different companies.

If you missed out on these events, you can always attend one of our monthly lunch and learns and other regional events. For more information on Partners in THINC and Okuma events at a location near you, visit the Okuma events page.
