Partners in THINC Presents During IMTS 2012
09.03.2012
As part of the IMTS Conference series, Partners in THINC members will be presenting a seminar discussing the use of existing technology to bridge the skills gap. Is finding the needed talent to support your business growth becoming an obstacle to your continued growth? If so, this session is intended to discuss some of the various methods that companies are using, or may use, to meet their technology needs. The session will focus on how technology available today has imbedded some of the knowledge of those long-time A-level machinists who are so difficult to find and retain. Machine monitoring and intelligence systems make it possible for less-experienced operators to operate even demanding multi-function machines, thus freeing your available talent to work on new possibilities.
The simple selection of the right technology in your machinery and supporting accessories employed is extremely important. Ensuring that the proper tools are being used to complete a task greatly impacts the required skill level. Many of the challenges reside in the set-up stage of manufacturing, not in the actual production, where a dependable machine operator may be all that’s needed.
