Okuma and Southeast Community College in Nebraska are partners in an innovative training program specifically designed to help Okuma distributors and employees understand and present the benefits of the Okuma THINC® control. Students learn many of the technical terms that are common to the THINC control. With classes offered in an online format, students have the flexibility to participate in the course without interference with their daily workload. Course topics include The THINC Control, Enterprise Involvement, Coolant and Chip Control, Data Reporting Networking, Tool Management Systems, Quality and Gauging, Automation, and Adaptive Control.

SCC is a public community college located in southeast Nebraska, with campuses in Beatrice, Lincoln and Milford. Ninety-two percent of 2009 graduates found work or continued their education.
