Okuma America Corporation, a leading builder of CNC machine tools, is pleased to announce the 2012 graduates of its Service Apprentice Program. Kenji Shoul, Samuel Ortiz, Anthony Musolino, Chris Jenkins, Levi Wagner, Wes Thomas, Brandon Jiggetts, and Luis Cardona all completed the 33 week program sponsored by York Technical College and Okuma America Corporation.
Of the 8 graduates, Wes Thomas and Luis Cardona will be working for Okuma America and the others will be working for our distribution network. Kenji Shoul and Samuel Ortiz will be working for The Robert E. Morris Group, Anthony Musolino will be working for Gosiger West, Chris Jenkins will be working for Morris South, Levi Wagner will be working for Morris-Midwest, and Brandon Jiggetts will be working for Hartwig.
For more than 23 years, Okuma America Corporation has sponsored more than 100 students in the apprentice program. This particular program consisted of 33 weeks of classes, hands-on training, and working at Okuma America Corporation where the students learned to install options and rebuild spindles. These skills will be put to use as they service and support manufacturers and job shops who own Okuma CNC lathes, machining centers, 5-axis machines, and grinders.
