Okuma's New GENOS M660-V Machining Center

A Large Work Table in a Compact Footprint

Okuma America Corporation announces the debut of the new GENOS M660-V vertical machining center. This VMC combines a large work table in a compact footprint with a CAT 40 BIG-PLUS® spindle, and Intelligent Technology to cut large, complex parts. An optional CAT 50 BIG-PLUS® spindle is also available for heavy cutting jobs. The larger table minimizes restrictions on workpiece size and tool length while leaving ample space to add rotary tables.

Building on the success of the GENOS M Series of machines, including the market-leading GENOS M560-V, the GENOS M660-V is the 21st product to be added to the Okuma VMC product line. The new GENOS is part of Okuma’s Affordable Excellence Collection of machines, a family of products with proven functionality, offered at attractive price points.

The GENOS M660-V is built with Okuma’s Thermo-Friendly Concept technology, giving it the ability to withstand thermal deformation during the machining process. It also eliminates the need for machine warm-up. Additionally, the rigid, double-column construction reduces vibrations for less wear and tear on critical machine components, enables optimum spindle speeds, and increases accuracy for improved machining performance. It’s also one of the heaviest machines in its class.
