Jim Kosmala joined Okuma America Corporation in 2012 as Vice President of Engineering and Technology. He is responsible for engineering, THINC®-OSP controls, and new technologies for Okuma machine tool applications in North, Central, and South America. Prior to joining Okuma, Jim directed ABB Robotics’ Channel and Market Development team, covering the U.S., and led ABB’s southern U.S. sales team. Before joining ABB, he held various engineering, sales, and management positions at FANUC Robotics, having joined FANUC in 1992 and serving as General Manager from 2000 to 2009. Prior to working at FANUC Robotics, Jim served as lead controls engineer for Saturn Corporation, a division of General Motors Corporation. He holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master’s in Business Administration from Vanderbilt University.
