John Lee joined Okuma America in 1995 as a member of the QC team. His initial focus was on the vertical machining centers and the development of inspection criteria using a ballbar and laser alignment/linear measurement system. John also spent two weeks in Europe gaining experience in the production of the MC-V machining centers and training the QC department on how to balance spindles. From the QC department he moved to the lathe production line. He spent 4 weeks in Japan being trained on the manufacturing and inspection process, bringing this information back to start production of the Captain lathe products. In 2006 John moved to the service parts team as the down machine coordinator and was promoted to supervisor in 2012. John holds a BS in Business Administration Management and Computer Software Application. He is also an ISO auditor and NCCER instructor.
