Computer Numerical Control, also known as CNC control, refers to the programming platforms that send commands to machine tools to initiate cutting processes. A necessity for operations, all machine tool OEMs sell a CNC control alongside their machines. At Okuma, we program and design our own OSP CNC control—and are the industry’s only single-source provider of control and machine.
The first edition of our OSP CNC control is celebrating 60+ years of continuous improvement and innovation. An important part of our control’s proven longevity and history of technology is its open architecture Windows-based operating system. Unique to the industry, this system allows for easy installation of PC applications for any operating need or convenience right on the machine. New technologies can be easily implemented as they become available without the need for expensive CNC control overhauls.
