When you buy an Okuma, you’re buying a high-performance machine tool that’s backed by world-class service. To us, world-class service ensures that we maintain high performance for each and every one of our customers. In collaboration with our distribution network, we offer comprehensive service programs, including new and repaired parts, aftermarket accessories, and extensive training opportunities that ultimately provide support for every possible customer service scenario. This level of dedication is one of the many ways we live out our mission to passionately pursue a customer for life.

Because we understand how important it is for your machines to operate at peak levels with minimal downtime, we’re committed to keeping them up and running through preventive maintenance. Our CARE kit program helps ensure that your Okuma machine’s mechanical, electrical, lubrication, airflow, and coolant systems continue to operate in like-new conditions. Our highly qualified distribution network has certified technicians available to provide the ultimate preventive maintenance experience!

With our zero-obsolescence policy, we can provide new parts for the lifetime of your Okuma machine because we have parts for every Okuma machine ever made. The OEM-certified part you need is on hand and ready for delivery; our extensive global inventory enables us to achieve a service-parts fill rate greater than 95%. And between our North Carolina headquarters and our local distributor network, we can often get a part delivered to you within a day or sooner. Our experts can analyze your machine installation base and help you determine the correct critical spare parts to keep on-site in your maintenance cage.

The primary goal of Okuma’s Exchange Division is to make high-quality, recertified parts available to our customers at a fraction of the cost of new parts. If your spindle, motor, cam box, automatic tool changer, or OSP component goes down, you can contact your distributor for a replacement, no matter the reason. When you return the defective component in the prepaid packaging we provide, it will be recertified by Okuma technicians using OEM-replacement parts, then added to our extensive stock for the next customer. All mechanical exchange parts are guaranteed for 24 months, and all electrical exchange parts are guaranteed for 12 months.* Our speed-to-deployment exchange model allows you to resume production in hours or days rather than weeks-long timelines common with third-party rebuilders. The Okuma Global Repair Center centralizes and enhances our exchange operations.

For a machine tool to operate at maximum efficiency and with the highest accuracy, proper maintenance, leveling, and alignment are essential. Over time, movement and vibration can cause shifts in the machine’s components, heat cycles take place, some degree of wear occurs with every movement, and your facility’s foundation can change. These events can alter a machine’s initial, factory-certified setup. Keeping the machine leveled, squared, and aligned protects part quality, promotes uptime, reduces downtime, increases overall efficiencies and, most importantly, extends the life of your machine. A Static Accuracy Reset and Laser - Pitch Error Compensation Reset can restore your machine to like-new conditions!

From legacy machines and controls to the newest technologies, we provide our customers with training opportunities on a variety of skills. By partnering with Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, the Okuma Machine Tool Academy is an ideal location to sharpen basic and intermediate skills in Mechanical Maintenance, Electrical Maintenance, and Operation and Programming. With our distributors, we also offer customized training based on customers’ unique needs and goals. Please get in touch with your distributor to start conversations about training. We look forward to helping you accelerate your competencies.

The OSP control series and beyond features a high-end industrial PC running in tandem with our operating system. While the onboard PC provides our users with a ton of benefits, corrupt USB devices, malware, or infectious files can harm your Okuma machine. Let us protect your biggest investment — and your business — with our OSP-VPS protection package. As a subscriber, you’ll receive daily updated pattern files to detect the latest type of virus.

Are you still using floppy discs? We can help. We developed a preformatted floppy disc drive that can seamlessly replace your current drive with a USB unit while the footprint of the drive stays the same. This enables the easy transfer of part programs to and from your Okuma machine. These units are available in vertical and horizontal orientations.

Safely illuminate your innovations with the Okuma aftermarket 24V worklight, an accessory that can serve as a replacement or as an additional lighting source in your machine tool. With neodymium magnets embedded into an anodized aluminum housing, this light is quick and easy to install. It features a tempered-glass lens and produces 3,600 lumens through 120 LEDs.
No matter how big and no matter how small, our distributors are ready to help you with any added-value service request.
