C-Axis Greasing Process on the MU-500V
08.15.2017
In order to prevent bearings from seizing or overheating we provide a greasing interval counter that indicates the appropriate greasing timing for the C-axis on MU-500 machine tools. When greasing, turn the C-axis table and supply grease following the C-axis re-greasing guide. The life of your MU-500VA-L C-axis (tuning type) bearing significantly differs with the rotation speed used for operations. The speed used for operations can be checked on the turning spindle (C-axis) life counter display.
This function is available on the OSP-P200M and MA, and also on the P300S/M/SA and MA machine tools. You can access it in the MAINTENANCE screen.
- The Rotary Axis and the Turning Spindle are monitored by Interval Counters formatted by 0/0/0 (calendar day), called the Maintenance Day.
- Once the Maintenance Day is set for the Rotary Axis, the maintenance day for the turning spindle will be updated. They are ALWAYS updated at the same time.
- The Rotary axis simply counts the number of days since the last maintenance regardless of Power on/off status.
- The Turning Spindle is on a life basis and the system counts the rotation time considering the difference caused by the axis rotation speed.
- Elapsed time and actual rotation time conform when the spindle is used at its maximum rotation speed.
- Accordingly, the addition of elapsed time will be slower than actual time with the slower the spindle speed.
