Streamline Your Automated Gaging (Video)
09.18.2013
If you have a long shaft or a part where you need to check multiple dimensions, the Marposs Quick Set™ gage is a slick solution that streamlines your measurement process and minimizes potential errors.
Check out this video where we demonstrate how automated gaging can be used to quickly and easily check measurements all at once, and even load data into your SPC software for trend analysis. For demonstration purposes I’m using a shaft that has a length to diameter ratio of 21:1, and showing how to measure three ODs plus the overall length. But the Quick Set can be used for any part where you want to check multiple dimensions simultaneously.

The measurement process can slow you down when you have multiple dimensions to cover. But it’s possible to do this with increased speed, simplicity and accuracy. Learn how you can:
- Check three OD and length measurements at one time, and instantly see if they’re correct
- Get a visual picture on your CNC control that shows the operator how to load the part into the gage and ensure that you don’t get a false reading
If you’d like to learn more about how to use the Quick Set for automated gaging in your shop, Partners in THINC member Marposs will be happy to help you.
