Tad Yamamoto

Chief Executive Officer

Takeshi (Tad) Yamamoto was named to the position of Chief Executive Officer effective July 1, 2009 after serving as Executive Vice President and Operating Officer for Okuma America Corporation. He began work with Okuma Corporation (Japan) as a Manufacturing Engineer in 1982 after graduating from Waseda University with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering. He worked with Okuma America Corporation in operations planning from February 1994 to July 2002 and then returned to Okuma Japan, serving in a variety of roles, including Plant Manager of the Kani manufacturing facility.  He currently serves as the Senior Director on of the Board of Directors for Okuma Corporation (Japan), a position to which he was named in 2011.

Jim King

President & COO

Jim King currently serves as the President and COO of Okuma Corporation, having been named to the post April 1, 2011. He originally joined the Okuma organization in January, 2010 as the Senior Vice President of Sales. Before joining Okuma Corporation in January, 2010, Jim previously served as Director of Channel Management for Siemens Industry, based in Alpharetta Georgia, Vice President-Sales and Marketing for Nematron, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Director-Business Development for Source Alliance.com in Raleigh, North Carolina. During his career he managed national sales, channel, marketing and service groups, as well as directed sales planning. He began his career in 1980 as a sales representative for Rockwell Automation where he held positions of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing and product development. Jim earned an Applied Engineering Sciences degree from Michigan State University.

Lisa Rummel

CFO

Lisa is a Certified Public Accountant and earned an MBA from Appalachian State University. She began her career in public accounting and after four years, moved into the manufacturing industry with what is now Textron, where she gained her original machine tool experience. She began work at Okuma in 1989 as a cost accountant for what was then the manufacturing division of Okuma America Corporation. Her 20+ years of experience at Okuma has included cost accounting for manufacturing, accounting and finance for the sales division, corporate finance and tax accounting. She works closely with Okuma Corporation’s headquarters in Japan and manages and evaluates corporate risk by being responsible for cash flow and inventory investment. Lisa became Okuma’s first female vice president when she was named VP of Finance in April 2007 and is the first female officer within the global corporation.

Ira Busman

Vice President of Customer Service

As the Vice President of Customer Service, Ira is responsible for strategy and execution across Okuma America Corporation's vast Distribution network serving North, South and Central America. Ira began his tenure with Okuma in 1986, starting an Electronic/Engineering Technician. Ira worked through various positions within Customer Service at Okuma and recently held the position of Vice President of Operations, responsible for Engineering and Manufacturing.

Tim Thiessen

Vice President of Sales

Tim became Vice President of Sales for Okuma America Corporation on April 1, 2011. Tim joined Okuma on February 21, 1991, as an Applications Engineer and most recently served as the Senior Regional Sales Manager for Gosiger. He graduated from Berea College (Berea, KY) with a B.S. degree in Industrial Management and Technology and in his 20+ years with Okuma, Tim has worked as an applications engineer, sales engineer, product manager and sales manager.

Jim Kosmala

Vice President of Engineering & Technology

Jim Kosmala joined Okuma America Corporation in 2012 as Vice President of Engineering and Technology. He is responsible for engineering, THINC®-OSP controls and new technologies for Okuma machine tool applications in North, Central and South America. Prior to joining Okuma, Mr. Kosmala directed ABB Robotics’ Channel and Market Development team, covering the US, and led ABB’s southern US sales team. Before joining ABB, he held various engineering, sales, and management positions at FANUC Robotics, having joined FANUC in 1992 and serving as General Manager from 2000 to 2009. Prior to working at FANUC Robotics, Mr. Kosmala served as lead controls engineer for Saturn Corporation, a division of General Motors Corporation. He holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master’s in Business Administration from Vanderbilt University.
