Basic CNC Control Procedures (Videos)

Ed Leeson

Do you have a new operator, or someone who’s switching to Okuma from another machine tool brand? When the controller is new to the user, it can seem unfamiliar at first. So every once in a while we get a request for instructions on basic CNC control procedures. Okuma offers both OSP-P and FANUC controls on select machine models, and no matter which one you have, they’re very easy to use.

We created three quick videos that show how to perform basic control operations, with side-by-side demonstrations of the steps to be used for OSP and FANUC controls:

CNC Control Procedures (Okuma OSP & FANUC): “Program Select”

CNC Control Procedures (Okuma OSP & FANUC): “Tool Length Offset”

CNC Control Procedures (Okuma OSP & FANUC): “Work Zero Offset”

We hope these videos are helpful! Please feel free to contact us or your local Okuma distributor if you have further questions.
