For the past few months of my work life I’ve been sequestered away in a top secret office location so I could get some uninterrupted time to complete a mission-critical project: Okuma America’s new website. Given that one of my favorite parts of my job is the interaction with Okuma colleagues, this kind of isolation was a tiny bit challenging. But the 70-inch monitor they gave me so I could view all my web work definitely made up for it. It was like working on a big flat screen TV!
The Big Reveal
The new website was recently launched, so I’ve rejoined my team back at my regular office in the Marketing department. (Sans jumbo monitor, sadly.) This is such an exciting time because we finally get to unveil what we’ve been working on for more than a year now. The project involved more than 50 super-talented professionals, and we shot hundreds of photos and built thousands of pages. Check out our new website to see resources created specifically for machine tool users’ needs.
Features of Our New Website
- High-end photos and videos help you picture the action (the slow-motion cutting videos are especially cool, like the one shown below).
- Try out our enhanced search capabilities, which allow you to filter products according to your particular needs and requirements.
- A new Knowledge Center puts helpful resources all in one place. This is where you go to find anything you need, from White Papers to Blog Posts, Case Studies, Videos and more (this area is searchable too).
- Your local distributor is easy to find – we even show your local contact automatically on the home page (based on where your computer is located).
- The “What Our Customers Say” section features quotes and stories shared by Okuma customers. See what’s working for your peers.
- An expanded Careers section contains detailed job descriptions for current openings (join our Okuma family!).
- A visual History of Okuma shows significant milestones throughout our 120 years in business.
- New articles and videos are published each week. If you want to be notified of new content, we have a handy sign-up box on many of our webpages.
