SPEAKERS & PRESENTATIONS

Join Okuma partners and industry experts as they share real-world insights and innovations that open possibilities for smarter, more profitable manufacturing.

The Automation Impact: Strategies & Real-world Solutions
Discover how Okuma Factory Automation is driving measurable success through automation. This session highlights real-world case studies that showcase increased productivity, improved efficiency, and higher profitability through strategic automation implementation. Attendees will gain practical insights they can apply in their own shops to streamline operations and stay competitive in a rapidly evolving manufacturing landscape.

Real Results: Okuma Factory Automation in Action
Hear directly from an Okuma Factory Automation customer about their experience implementing automation into their operations, and how it streamlined their production, with the help of Okuma and their local Okuma distributor, Hartwig.

Bridging the Gap: Connecting America's Manufacturers to the Defense Industrial Base
Representatives from Oak Ridge National Laboratory's Manufacturing Demonstration Facility Group will share valuable insights into the defense industry’s current needs, future demand, and growth opportunities for manufacturers. This session will guide shops on how to successfully engage in the defense sector while meeting critical security and compliance standards. Learn why CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information) and CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) requirements matter—and how your shop can begin working toward compliance to open new doors for business.

Leveraging Social Media to Promote Your Business
Join marketing and branding expert, Meredith Dean, for an energetic session on how to use the power of your iPhone to grow your business. Learn simple, effective ways to create authentic social media content that connects with customers, showcases your shop’s capabilities, and drives sales. You’ll leave with practical tools and creative ideas to boost your online visibility—no marketing degree required.

Tools to Optimize Your Shop’s Workflows and Production Levels
Representatives from the NC/SC Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) will demonstrate how innovative technologies can transform shop performance. Learn how Matterport 3D mapping technology can be used to visualize your workspace, optimize equipment placement, and identify bottlenecks before they impact production. This interactive discussion will show how a data-driven approach to layout and process improvement can reduce work-in-process (WIP), enhance flow, and increase profitability.

Game-Changing AI Applications for Manufacturing Processes
AI-driven programming tools are reshaping what’s possible in modern manufacturing. Experts from CloudNC/CamAssist will demonstrate how their solutions integrate seamlessly with existing CAM systems to dramatically accelerate programming time and consistency. In one real-world example, an operation that once took two hours to program was completed in just five minutes. Discover how AI can empower your team, reduce setup times, and open the door to a new era of precision and productivity.

Maximize Your Investment with a Preventive Maintenance Strategy
Join Okuma's Mike Hampton as he explores how a strong preventive maintenance (PM) program directly contributes to higher uptime and profitability. Through compelling case studies and real customer data, attendees will see how proactive maintenance practices protect machine investments and improve performance. Plus, every participant will receive a free PM kit certificate—an immediate first step toward maximizing equipment reliability and ROI.

In-Depth Look at the MCR-A5CII Double Column Machining Center
For nearly 60 years, Okuma has led the world in double column machining center technology. Discover how the innovation behind these large machines shapes the performance and quality of every product we build. Don't miss this massive machine featuring the OSP-P500 control, a full enclosure, and a retractable roof system.

Handscraping Demonstration
Handscraping is a crucial component of the craftsmanship that goes into every Okuma machine tool. See this process in action by Robbie Williams, from Okuma's Application Engineering team, and take advantage of this special opportunity to try it yourself.
